High fruit rot rate after mango bagging? Check if you've overlooked these 4 critical details

High fruit rot rate after mango bagging? Check if you've overlooked these 4 critical details

1. The opening is not completely sealed.

The problem is: Rainwater flows into the bag through the stem, and moisture combined with heat can cause mold to grow.

Repair method:

· Fold the opening in the same direction 2-3 times

· Wrap the metal wire around the stem 2 times and pull it tight to ensure it does not come loose.

2.  The bottom ventilation holes are blocked.

The problem is that: The holes have never been opened, or mud or paper has clogged them. The fruits will suffocate or be burned by the heat.

Repair method:

· Before putting the bag in, use your fingers to open the holes on both sides

· Shape the bag into a lantern shape - the fruits should be freely suspended and not touch the paper

3. Package the fruits while they are still wet.

The problem is: You bag them immediately after spraying the pesticide, or you bag them when the dew has not dried completely. This seals the disease inside, causing it to multiply.

Solution:

· Wait 4 to 6 hours after spraying - if the leaves are wet, wait first

· Do not use bags when it is raining or in thick fog - the fruits must be completely dry

This is not about the quality of the bags, but about the timing. Packaging can prevent diseases, but it cannot cure them. ---

4. Rapid bag removal + Excessive sunlight.

Problem: The bag was torn off at noon. The delicate skin was exposed to strong ultraviolet rays - it would get sunburned within two days.

Solution:

· Take the bag off on a sunny day or after 4 p.m. - do not do it under the midday sun

· For high-UV-blocking bags (three-layer structure): Open the bottom first, wait for 2 days, then completely remove it

How many of these 4 did you select?

Good bags are important, but what's more crucial is the good user experience. If you want a mango bag that can truly withstand the tropical rainy season - waterproof, highly rigid, and meeting export standards - we would be happy to send you samples.

Share this method with another grower - a small improvement could save their entire season. ---
